Q: How long do you need to save cancelled checks?
A: It depends on what the check is written for. If the check was written to buy a car or house or to the IRS you should keep it forever. For everything else 7 years is the standard practice.
Q: When are social security checks mailed out?
A: The benefit payment of your social security check is determined by your birth date or the birth date of the beneficiaries. If your birth date falls between the 1st and 10th checks are mailed out on the second wednesday. Between the 11th and 20th the third wednesday and between the 21st and 31st the fourth wednesday.
Q. Is it illegal to sign my husband/wife name on checks?
A. If your name is also on the check then its okay. But if the check is made out only to your spouse then it is illegal to sign as that person.

A: When you order checks you have to put your name and address. You will also be asked for your bank routing and account number as this will also get printed onto the checks.
